Adoc Talent Management is looking for a Chief Medical Officer for one of our client, an emerging biotech developing the next generation of immune checkpoint modulators. Following the completion of a recent major financing round, the company develops a highly-differentiated & diversified portfolio of first -in-class therapeutic antibodies in cancers and auto-immunity with the aim to launch several clinical trials within the next 24 months.
As a Member of the Executive Committee, your role is to define and implement the development strategy of the Company from a medical, clinical and regulatory perspective. This includes building and managing your team (clinical operations, regulatory affairs and pharmacovigilance), conducting and overseeing the design and implementation of clinical trials (upstream evaluation of clinical and regulatory feasibility of preclinical projects, choice of indications, protocols, populations, feasibility studies, choice of CROs & investigators, analysis of clinical data, etc.). By performing an active monitoring on new therapeutics and technologies, you establish a network of clinicians and KOL and create appropriate collaborations. You promote the company’s strategy at the CEO and Board’s level as well as with regulatory agencies, the health authorities and the scientific and clinical community and participate in the activities of Business Development.
Holding a MD and expert in immunotherapy / immuno-oncology, you have significant experience in early stage drug development (phase I/II), including design of protocols and coordination of studies. Prior experience as a CMO in a biotech or middle pharma company would be a plus. You are recognized for your sense of responsibility and results, your critical eye and strategic thinking. As a manager, you are a team-player, can motivate, organize the actions, anticipate, define priorities, make decisions and discuss your choices. Fluent or native English is mandatory, French would be appreciated.
This permanent position is to be filled early to mid-2018. Salary (fix + bonus + equity) is negotiable depending upon profile and experience. The company is currently located in one of the leading cancer centers in Europe allowing a “from patients to patients” on-site approach incl. all the capabilities to perform translational research.
